Eversource In-School & Online Programs
EVERSOURCE IN-SCHOOL AND ONLINE PROGRAMS FOR ENERGY CONSERVATION
Understanding that educators need energy education teaching tools, we are providing quick and easy access to online and in-person programs for grades K–12. With palatable and accessible information, the programs align perfectly with energy curriculum. All programs teach common at-home or in-school energy-saving messages and do not require a curriculum tie-in.
Eversource is committed to working with students to teach them how to use energy efficiently in their daily lives. Below are three programs that Eversource offers educators.
A 40-minute program offered in-school or online, Energy Quest transforms students in grades 6–8 into home-energy investigators. Students explore a home and use visual cues to locate areas where electricity, water, or gas is being used. Students play on their own and receive a prize pack for participating. The top 3 performers receive an additional prize.
30-minute program offered in-school or online for students K-2 that teaches students about energy efficiency and the importance of saving energy. Watts-Ville encourages simple at home or in-school energy behaviors such as turn off the lights before leaving a room or what to do when you see downed power lines. All students receive a take home version of the game in their prize pack.
