About Energy Quest™ Online

Energy Quest™ Online is a 30-minute program that transforms students in grades 6–8 into home-energy investigators. In an interactive game format, students test their knowledge about electricity, water, and gas usage in their homes. Along the way, students learn about new energy-efficient technologies.

Through this program, Eversource aims to provide students with real-world examples of how they can be more conscious of their daily energy use and develop positive energy habits.

How to Sign Up

Provide Energy Quest™ Online to Your Students

Teachers can easily participate in the program by completing the request form below. Once you submit your request, an Energy Quest™ team member will send you a custom link and information for the program to you. When the game ends, you will receive the results, summary of questions the students struggled with, and a PDF of the questions and answers to review with your class. All students will receive a small prize for participating and the top 3 students will win a gift card from an online retailer.

What is Energy Quest™ Online?

Energy Quest™ Online is a 30-minute program that transforms students in grades 6–8 into home-energy investigators. Students answer a series of questions dealing with areas where electricity, water, or gas is being used in their homes. Upon locating these areas, students test their knowledge and learn about energy-saving methods.
Is there a cost to provide this program for our school?

No. Energy Quest™ Online is provided at no cost as long as the school is located within an area served with electricity by Eversource in Massachusetts. For a list of cities/towns go to, “See if your community is eligible.“
Which towns are eligible?

Energy Quest™ Online is open to all middle schools in communities served with electricity by Eversource in Massachusetts. For a list of cities/towns go to, “See if your community is eligible.“
When is the program offered?

Program requests are now being accepted for this academic school year.
How long is the program? Can a single class request it?

The online program will run about 30 minutes. We can provide the program for a single class but love to share the energy-saving message and always encourage multiple classes to participate. Please feel free to share this program with other teachers.
How do I request the program?

Teachers can request the program by filling out the online request form. An Energy Quest™ Online team member will then send you the custom link and information for the program. For questions, please email info@eversourceinschool.com.
